Jordan Pollard is a jazz pianist originally from Minnesota, where she started gigging at age 15. From 2006-2012 she gigged and taught in San Antonio TX, including an original works group called the San Antonio Jazz Workshop. She’s been local to Cincinnati since 2012 where she freelances playing at local venues. Jordan earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Studies from the University of MN-Duluth and a Masters of Music in Jazz Studies from UC's College-Conservatory of Music. During her studies, Jordan was fortunate to have numerous opportunities to travel, perform with top-tier professionals, and even take occasional lessons from pianists Billy Taylor, Kenny Werner, and George Cables. She’s been composing since 2002 and thoroughly enjoys exploring her and others' compositions in this trio setting - she, Ben Bratton, and Matt McCoy have been playing at least weekly for past three years.
Vital Organ Trio displays a unique take on the classic hammond b3/guitar/drum set configuration. It's all about Greasy Jazz Organ Trio Goodness, blending elements of traditional jazz with rock, hip hop, and world grooves, to an array of audiences across the city. Pat was the original house pianist at Cincinnati's fabled Blue Wisp Jazz Club at its inception in 1978 and he earned a degree in Musical Composition at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music in 1984. He has worked professionally as jazz pianist, church music director, organist and as Adjunct Professor at Xavier University. He is the founder of the eclectic 13-piece PsychoAcoustic Orchestra (since 1992), which has been named best "big band" by Cincinnati Magazine and also by Cincinnati CityBeat Magazine. He has served as producer for J Curve Records in Cincinnati and has produced special projects including "Skyline Chili 50th Anniversary" CD, and"Hidden Treasures - A Tribute to King Records". Pat Kelly composed the score for the 2008 feature film "Artworks" which was filmed in Cincinnati by director Jim Amatulli. He recently returned from an October 2017 tour of Russia with vocalist Mandy Gaines.
Louisville, KY native Phillip Lee Burkhead began teaching himself to play piano at the age of eight by emulating pop and jazz artists. Mr. Burkhead was the holder of a four year Honors Scholarship in the Jazz and Studio Music program at Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. In 1989 he was chosen to receive the Dino Santangelo Annual Award, and the Presser Scholar Award for both academic and performance achievement. Mr. Burkhead was also awarded Best Keyboard Artist by Cincinnati Magazine, the University of Boulder Jazz Festival Soloist Award while a member of the CCM group “Jazz Hates Johnny” which was voted Outstanding Combo in the USA and Canada by Downbeat Magazine. Mr. Burkhead earned a Vocational Teaching License and a Masters of Education from Wright State University in 2003. In addition to teaching part-time for the Department of Music at UD, Mr. Burkhead is an Adjunct Professor of Jazz Piano at Northern Kentucky University.

Ron Enyard is a jazz drummer. He’s done the West Coast scene, gigged in the Big Apple, toured and cut albums with luminaries from Barney Kessel to Woody Shaw. Along the way, he was even honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award for Jazz and Culture from an Indianapolis jazz radio station. These days, Enyard makes his home in Newport, Kentucky. He’s a fixture in Greater Cincinnati clubs and music venues. The ensemble can also feature Dan Drees on tenor saxophone, Justin Dawson on bass and Andrew Haug on piano.
