Breast Augmentation

Eyelid Surgery

Eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty, is performed to correct the signs of aging that affect the appearance of the eyes. With age, the contour of the eyelids may change significantly due to the loss of firmness in the uppermost layers of skin tissue. The decrease in skin elasticity can lead to hooding of the upper eyelid and the prolapse of fat on the lower lids, leading to persistent puffiness. Tummy tuck, also known as abdominoplasty, is a cosmetic surgery procedure that Cincinnati Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Donna Krummen performs to reveal the toned abs that are beneath loose connective tissue. The muscles and ligaments may have become weak over time due to the aging process, pregnancy, or weight gain. This weakness may not be fully corrected with diet and exercise. Abdominoplasty gets to the source of laxity, the abdominal wall, and re-drapes tissue in a smoother, tighter fashion. The tummy tuck surgery is typically performed as an outpatient procedure. Patients are asleep during the surgery and monitored by the anesthesiologist, who administers general anesthesia. In addition to general anesthesia, a local anasthetic may also be administered to further the comfort of the process. Abdominoplasty typically involves a hip-to-hip incision. This can be hidden beneath undergarments. To reach the abdominal wall, incisions are made through the skin and the fascia, tissue that lies over muscles. The muscles of the abdomen are then tightened and anchored into place. Skin between the belly button and pubic area may be removed to create a smoother surface. In some cases, the belly button is repositioned after skin removal. In total, the process usually takes about three hours.

Liposuction

Male Breast Reduction (Gynecomastia)

Gynecomastia is a condition where a man’s breasts become enlarged. It’s a condition that can cause great embarrassment and social isolation for men. They feel self-conscious about their appearance and avoid activities that require them to be shirtless in public. Some breast enlargement is normal in boys hitting puberty, but it should resolve itself by the time the boy turns 18. In some men, however, surgery may be the only option. Gynecomastia surgery, also known as the male breast reduction is a surgical reduction of male breast tissue. Gynecomastia surgery reduces breast size in men, flattening and enhancing the chest contours. In severe cases of gynecomastia, the weight of excess breast tissue may cause the breasts to sag and stretch the areola (the dark skin surrounding the nipple). In these cases the position and size of the areola can be surgically improved and excess skin may be reduced. Mommy Makeover

A mommy makeover combines a variety of surgical procedures that target the body areas most affected by pregnancy, childbirth, and breastfeeding. These procedures are combined into a single surgical session, making for just a single recovery. Dr. Krummen’s mommy makeovers are tailored to each individual patient, but they generally include a tummy tuck, breast lift with or without augmentation, and liposuction.

Breast Lift

A breast lift is a surgical procedure that raises and firms the breast by removing excess skin and tightening the surrounding tissue to reshape and support the new breast contour. The breast lift can also reduce the size of the areola (the pigmented skin around the nipple). A breast lift won’t make your breasts bigger, but it will take what nature gave you and point it in the right direction. If desired, it can often be combined with a breast augmentation.

Breast Reduction

Breast reduction, also known as reduction mammoplasty, is a cosmetic procedure that Dr. Krummen performs to decrease the size of one or both breasts. The procedure involves careful removal of breast tissue and fat and, as needed, the slight refinement of overlying skin. This surgery can also offer women relief from feelings of self-consciousness about their appearance. Moreover, thousands of women undergo this procedure each year and achieve a more proportioned look with surgery.

Body Lift

A body lift is a surgical procedure to restore the shape and tone of the underlying tissue that supports the fat and skin of the abdomen, buttocks and thighs. Excess sagging fat and skin are removed from multiple areas to give patients a “body lift”. Often the patient requires a combination of an abdominoplasty and a posterior lift to achieve the necessary body sculpting. For some, armlift or thighlift may be beneficial. One surgery does not fit all, and sometime liposuction maybe an option as well.

Sclerotherapy

Unsightly spider veins can ruin any good weather occasion! The embarrassment from spider veins while wearing shorts or a bathing suit can be gone with our newest service, Sclerotherapy. Our trained nurses will inject the individual veins with a special formula made specifically to rid legs of spider veins. The treatment lasts about 45 minutes to an hour and after one visit you can expect to see an average of 50% reduction in the appearance of spider veins.
